Astrology, places and incidents: Lightning strikes Google`s European datacenter four times
I read a headline today saying: “Act of God damaged data on Google cloud disks – Old storage systems failed to recover some recent writes after lightning bolts strikes”
So which god was it and how can the event be understood in terms of astrogeography? Here`s a short analysis:
On 13 August 2015 at 18:19 CET the new Google datacenter in St. Ghislain, Belgium was hit by 4 successive lightnings causing “a brief loss of power to storage systems” and causing data loss on “less than 0.000001% of PD space in europe-west1-b”. (for data source see quotes below from the Google page)
Astrogeographic position for field level 3 which describes how the Google datacenter is embedded into the towns of Mons and St. Ghislain: the Google datacenter in St. Ghislain, Belgium is located between 19° and 21° of service orientated air sign Libra an ideal aspect for a quickly responding service institution:
I have discovered this feature of places in Libra first in the late 1980ies during my fiueld studies of astrological measurement of morphogenetic fields of 30 m squares. In those days photo processing shops started to offer services for immediate processing of photos. These kind of shops weren`t to be found in Scorpio the sign of photography and processing, but in Libra the “ready-for-service-at-any-time-sign”.
And the second coordinate of the Google datacenter is located right in between self-protective earth sign Virgo the sign of storage and air sign Libra. And in such a way that the north half of the datacenter building site is located in Virgo while the south half falls in Libra.
The astrological chart for the lightning strike is calculated for St. Ghislain, Belgium on 13 August 2015, 18:19 CET (9:19 PDT):
The astrological chart reveals that Uranus (god of the sky) the planet of lightnings and ruler of Aquarius the sign of the sky had been in transit of 20° Aries in exact opposition to the 19-21° Libra position of the Google datacenter since the end of May 2015, turning retrograde on 26 July at 20° Aries. Uranus will pass the opposition to the site again between March and May 2016. So it is advisable for the local Google institution at St. Ghislain and also even for the whole Google network to find a way for a better cooperation with the aspects of self-finding, liberation, emancipation, abstraction, healing of suppressed individuality and individualism and other aspects of Uranus in regard to their services during the period between these two major transits
Like in the case of the other event charts I have discussed during the last days Jupiter`s change of signs on 11 August 2015 is a major aspect to be considered here. This is not only because the event took place only 2 days after Jupiter changed signs from Leo into Virgo the sign of storage and one astrogeographic coordinate of the construction site of the datacenter. Jupiter`s role in the incident is also important because he stands for Zeus who in – let me call it “burgeois phenomenology” (mythology) is the lord of lightnings as he conquered that weapon from Cronus after the castration of Uranus (see my blog: The birth place of Aphrodite). And thirdly Jupiter`s ingress into Virgo is of high importance here because the ascendant although in the last degree was passing Sagittarius the sign of Jupiter`s rulership.
The second important factor in regard to the ascendant of the event is Saturn who as the ruler of Capricorn was the co-ruler of the ascendant of the event. Saturn`s position here in house 11 the house of the sky alone indicates that the problematic aspect that attracted the lightnings had to do with stuck energies and unsolved hierarchies within the installation structure of the facility, the local administration and/or possible even the whole company. And Saturn`s importance is even higher because the ascendant (at 29° Sagittarius!) was about to move from Sagittarius the sign of unhindered expansion into Capricorn the sign of control and search for the reasons for mistakes and inefficiency.

Data source from the Google page: status.cloud.google.com/incident/compute/15056:
“From Thursday 13 August 2015 to Monday 17 August 2015, errors occurred on a small proportion of Google Compute Engine persistent disks in the europe-west1-b zone. The affected disks sporadically returned I/O errors to their attached GCE instances, and also typically returned errors for management operations such as snapshot creation. In a very small fraction of cases (less than 0.000001% of PD space in europe-west1-b), there was permanent data loss……..
ROOT CAUSE: At 09:19 PDT on Thursday 13 August 2015, four successive lightning strikes on the local utilities grid that powers our European datacenter caused a brief loss of power to storage systems which host disk capacity for GCE instances in the europe-west1-b zone. Although automatic auxiliary systems restored power quickly, and the storage systems are designed with battery backup, some recently written data was located on storage systems which were more susceptible to power failure from extended or repeated battery drain. In almost all cases the data was successfully committed to stable storage, although manual intervention was required in order to restore the systems to their normal serving state. However, in a very few cases, recent writes were unrecoverable, leading to permanent data loss on the Persistent Disk….” (quoted from google official statement)
