2. Hosting and server log files
This blog is hosted by Strato Gmbh, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, D-10249 Berlin, Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
When you access the pages, the server automatically stores: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. These data are technically required for secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after [7] days unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
All data are transmitted encrypted via TLS (indicated by “https://”).
3. Cookies and consent
This blog uses strictly necessary cookies, for example to store your language setting (WPML plugin) and your cookie choice. The legal basis is Section 25(2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
All non-essential cookies and services are loaded only after you consent via the cookie banner (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. See the [Cookie Policy] for details.
4. Contact by email or phone
If you contact me, I process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, message) to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I delete the data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Consultations
For an astrological consultation I usually need your birth data (date, time, place) and the locations in question. I process these data to carry out the consultation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you share health information with me during a medical astrology consultation, I process it only with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). Invoice data are kept for up to 10 years in line with German tax law.
Bookings and orders are handled on my websites sundance-berlin.de and astrogeography.com where their own privacy policies apply.
6. Comments
The comment function is currently disabled. Comments already published remain visible with the name given. On request I will delete or anonymise your comment.
7. Gravatar
Author images are loaded via the Gravatar service of Aut O’Mattic A8C Ireland Ltd. (Grand Canal Dock, 25 Herbert Place, Dublin, Ireland). This transmits your IP address to the provider. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a consistent presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; Automattic is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
8. Videos and social networks
My videos and podcasts on YouTube and my profiles on Facebook and X are only linked, not embedded. Only when you click such a link are you taken to the provider’s site, where its privacy policy applies.
9. Fonts
The fonts used are loaded locally from my server. No connection to Google servers is made. [Check – see preliminary notes.]
