The Dalian Shell Museum in the City of Dalian, Liaoning, China is located at the mouth of a river canal into Xinghai Bay on the east coast of China It was designed by the Design Institute of Civil Engineering & Architecture of Dalian Technical University and built in the form of a shell. The museum claims to host the largest number of shells on display in the world. The 5 storey and 18 square m building was opened in 2003.
